Stinger Conveyers

STINGER Conveyors used by major companies to replace screw conveyors

In the past few years many screw conveyors have been replaced by STINGER® conveyors. Most of the replaces were because of the poor flow characteristics of the powder products. The STINGER® conveyor is most effective for handling hard to flow materials like TIO2, carbon black and other pigments. It has also replace screw conveyors handling sugar, flour, and calcium carbonate.

In addition, STINGER® conveyors are handling abrasive produces like clays and ceramic powders that normally wear out screw conveyors in a short time.

The STINGER® features:

  • Standard sizes are 1 ½'', 2", 3" and 4" diameter.
  • Convey capacity up to 25,000 lbs per hour.
  • Lengths of 30 feet and longer.
  • Has no moving parts
  • Dust tight
  • No internal restrictions
  • Low head room requirements
  • Reduced safety concerns with noise and vibration

Additional Information

The STINGER ® Screw conveyor''s auger is driven by a variable speed direct drive motor. This smaller compact motor and direct drive along with the low headroom design makes it easy to install in existing processes. The product conditioned by Trans-Flow ® media makes the unit easier of clean.

STINGER ® Screw conveyors are available in 1 ½" to 12" diameter with conveying capacities from 20 to 40,000 lbs/hour or more. Using the unit with a load cell system can provide better batch weighing accuracy than is achievable with current designs
